LTAYAA was created to strengthen and empower literacy and language skills in youth through film and drama (acting and plays). Our mission is also to utilize the stories created to impact and inspire hearts.
Founder of LTAYAA:
Annamaria Miller, also called Anna, is an educator, actor, writer, aspiring filmmaker, world traveler and lover of language and culture. Anna fell in love with acting as a child and performed and produced various plays. It was from these experiences that she developed a passion for studying filmmaking, which led to her creating short films.
In addition to her love for the arts, Anna Miller has also been blessed with the gift of teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, a Masters of Arts in Teaching, as well as a PhD in Literacy with an emphasis in teaching English as a second language. She is married to Pastor JD Miller; together they have four beautiful children.
Because of Anna’s love for the arts and education, she has merged the two together to form her organization: LTAYAA (Literacy Through the Arts Young Authors Association). It is through this organization that Anna Miller will utilize the arts to strengthen literacy and language skills in youth. She also hopes that what is created will impact and inspire hearts in ways that will make changes in our community for the better.
